Almost Christmas!

Well, it's almost that time of year again! I'm writing this time before Christmas because we had a national tragedy this week and I just want to remind Grey how much I love him and absolutely adore him!

There was another school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday December 14, 2012. Twenty precious babies were killed all 6 and 7 years old. This has totally broken my heart! I look at Grey and couldn't imagine anyone wanting to hurt him. I promise to never take anything for granted, especially my children.

It's only a week until Christmas and my tummy is growing like a weed! I can't wait to see Grey be a big brother to his sister or brother! We find out next week what we are having annnndddd Grey will be 2 next week!!! I can't believe how fast time flies, especially when you become a parent. All I pray is that these two love each other and stand by each other through thick and thin. Me and my brother Michael fought like cats and dogs, but we ALWAYS had each others backs when it came down to it. I'm just overwhelmed with joy at the thought of being a mother to 2 sweet babies!

Long Time No See

Once again I have procrastinated and not taken the time to blog. We have some great news though......Grey will be a BIG BROTHER in May!!!! Of course he doesn't understand, but he still kisses my belly and says baby! Of course now, we need a bigger house. :)

Just a few highlights...........

These are from October when we went to Cedar Hills Farm

The next few are just random pictures from the past few months.

This my absolute favorite picture!!! He was soooo excited!!! hahahaha

Needless to say, we don't have a baby anymore. I can't believe he will be 2 in a month!! Time really has flown by. I still look at him everyday and thank God for him. I will never be able to explain how much love I have for this sweet child.

Back to School

Back to school

I'm going to make this a short one because I should be working, but this is the only free time I get! This summer was the BEST summer I've had! It's funny how just hanging around the house or outside with a 1 year old is the best time I've had. I never thought I'd say that. We went to Hot Springs, of course. I'm so thankful that we have family that has a house on Lake Hamilton and loves us all enough to let us stay there whenever we want. Uncle Ron and Aunt Bren surely spoil us all! This is Grey driving the boat. He loved it, but seemed to fall asleep every time! HAHA!!

He's finally started talking more! I was scared because he stopped saying a few things, but I had to realize they do things on their own time, not mine. He loves to get pictures in the house and point out and say "mama" and "da-dee"!! He does the same thing at grandma's and paw-paw's house. He somewhat say Aunt Lindsay, kinda sounds like dinsey, but too cute! He loves looking for Louie and saying Ew-e. This child is definitely an outside child and he's definitely ALL boy! If there's dirt or mud anywhere, he's gonna find it and be all up in it! We went to the Collierville sprinkler park this summer and he didn't really care for it. They had a playground 10 feet from it and he wanted to play on it instead. So I drove an hour away to go to the playground!

Here's a picture of Grey and Portland playing in the pool. And the next one is of him helping us wash the cars, which he absolutely LOVES!!!

A few first's have happened in just the past week.
1. He started a new sitter. Our previous sitter called on Friday to tell me that she started a new job on Monday!! Nice notice! But it all worked out for the best because he loves it at "Memaws". He has other kids to play with and she is just like his 3rd grandma.
2. He got a "big boy bed"! It's too cute! It's Toy Story and he loves getting in it and watching tv. Sleeping in it is a different story. He sleeps with us, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I mean, it's not like he's going to be 16 and still sleeping with us, so I'm enjoying while I can.
3. He got sick for the 1st time!!! He's never even had a fever, only a few colds, so know we've been lucky. I figured once he got around other kids he's eventually get sick. He's had a cold all this week, but Friday night his fever got up to 104.8!!!! He started throwing up and that's when we got scared. Kenny called his mom and she rushed over with lots of goodies for him. Suppositories and Pedialyte! haha!! We were about to rush him to LeBonheur, but his fever went down pretty fast. We took him to the doctor Saturday morning and of course it was just a virus. So we had to just let it run its course. Thankfully we didn't have any more fevers after Friday night.

Here Grey is in his bed, with Louie!

He's turned in to a little boy overnight! I miss my little baby, but I love how independent he has become. He's still a mama's boy and I pray that NEVER changes. He still loves rubbing my hand when he's sleepy. He still has to make sure mama is always in his sight. He'll definitely always be my baby. :)

Here's his 1st big boy haircut. The next few are just some cute pictures I love.

This last one is of him and my dad, his grandaddy. He watched him for 3 days when I started back work and I was so happy they got to spend that time together. Grey adores him!

This wasn't as short as I thought it was going to be!

Summer time!

Well, it's officially summer time in the Luther household!! I'm off work for 2 months and so far it's been GREAT! The first week I was ready to go back because Grey was throwing some awful fits and hitting me! I think it had to do with changing his routine and momma being home everyday because he's back to his same old funny self, thank GOD!!!

I swear he's doing something new every day and he's definitely keeping me on my toes. He wakes up in the morning and looks at me and with the sweetest voice, says "backpack!" From Dora, of course. He has the sweetest voice I've ever heard and it's nice to hear him babble ALL the time. Kenny's mom thinks he's gonna be a preacher the way he talks. haha!! He loves to rub my hands and my knuckles for some reason, especially when he's tired. I love it of course!

He LOVES being outside and will take off running anytime he hears the word outside! He loves helping Kenny water the flowers, while pulling some off of course. My favorite thing he is doing right now though is a sound he makes anytime he sits down, steps up a step or down a step.......he'll go "ahhhhh!" Like is was such a hard day! haha!! He loves to wave and say bye bye. He is still waving backwards, which makes it much cuter :) But he tells his books bye, the bathtub bye, and when he gets out of bed in the morning he tells me bye! Too cute! He keeps me laughing for sure! He says da-dee constantly, but I can't remember the last time he said momma :( Don't know if it's because he's always around me, but he just won't say it. Guess I'll hear it enough when he gets older!

We are heading out to Hot Springs on Thursday and I'm excited! I'll be chasing him around the whole time I'm sure, but I still can't wait for him to ride on the boat or the jet ski!

We are so lucky to have such a happy child and anytime we are out, someone always comments about how happy he is and how good he is. Of course it's all because I'm the best mom in the world! HA! Before I ever had Grey, I would pray every night that he would be happy and healthy. He is thankfully both.

Brock! Brock! Hoppy Easter!!!

Well Grey's 2nd Easter has come and gone. This year was so much fun! We woke up and brought Grey his basket the Easter bunny left for him. He was so excited about his new toys and books!!! We got up, ate some pancakes (that I cooked), and got ready to go! (Of course I had to put in there that I cooked because it never happens :) )
We went to Holy Springs and ate lunch and let Grey hunt eggs. The food was yummy and the weather was awesome! Grey had a big time running around, trying to get in the pool, and riding around in the 4 wheeler or whatever it's called! Ha! When it came time to hunt eggs, he just ran around opening them because he realized the Easter bunny put toys in them!!! He didn't care for putting them in his Easter basket. I, of course, took LOTS of pics.
I can't wait for the summer to bring him down there to go swimming! I hate rushing things because it's already gone by SOOOO fast, but I just look forward to so many things with him. Being a mom has exceeded all my expectations and even my worries. This little boy is very loved and I'm afraid very spoiled already!

Standing in front of the exact place where me and Kenny said "I do!"

I forgot to add that I took him to Cedar Hills Farm again this year to see the Easter bunny! I was anxious to see how he's react, but he wasn't scared at all!!!! He wouldn't look at me so I could get a good picture, but what's new, he NEVER does! So I had to get a picture of him grabbing the bunny. He had such a good time. He was able to play this year! He was all about the sand box and the playground.

Spring Time!!

I just got off of Spring Break and from being off a whole week with Grey. I loved being off with him, the weekends just aren't enough. He's officially saying words that I can understand! He says mama, da-de, pawpaw, nanny or ne-ne (not sure yet), and when we tell him to say Louie (our dog), he says ewwww!!! It's too cute! He has the sweetest little voice.
One thing that's not so sweet, fits! He started throwing fits and thankfully they aren't too bad yet. If I take something away, he'll scream and throw himself on the floor. I've learned to just walk away so far. He hasn't done it in public yet, so I'm just waiting on that!
When I was off, we went to the zoo and the park. He still doesn't understand the zoo too much. He loves the park though! He loves running around and touching everything. And Lord help me if there's another kid there. I guess we need to hurry up and have another one because he absolutely LOVES other kids!!!! We took him to the park in our neighborhood yesterday and a little girl came a little after we had been there. He didn't see her for a minute and I told Kenny to just wait until he saw her. When he did he just smiled and ran to her to touch her. He even did a little dance for her! hahaha!!! I need to get him around more kids for sure!
He's tooo funny because if we tell him to dance or "get it", he'll start jumping and dancing! He keeps us laughing for sure! He STILL loves Dore, but thankfully he like Bubble Guppies and Diego too.
Can't wait to be out of school so I can spend all summer with him!!!

He loves his car his nanny and paw-paw gave him!

Watching Dora and eating his gold fish!!! See how happy he is when he sees her! haha

I have a toddler!

I probably should have updated this a few weeks ago, but I'm lazy! HAHA!! Grey is officially a toddler now! After his 1st birthday party, he started walking everywhere! I thought it was going to be hard on me chasing him everywhere, but it's so much fun! I call him my little "tater tot" because he's so cute just totting around! He's definitely gotten the hang of it now. He went from looking like Frankenstein when he walked to running!! I can't ever get a decent picture of him because he won't be still  long enough.

He's such a happy boy though, which makes me believe I'm doing something right. He loves his babysitter and her little girl, Anna Grace. He just smiles and grabs for her when I drop him off and it makes it a heck of a lot easier leaving him knowing Nikki loves him so much.

Don't have much to say this time, just needed to update!!

And 1 to grow on!!!!

It's official, I have a 1 year old!!! I didn't have time to blog over the Christmas holidays because my child keeps me way too busy to do anything, so I have some catching up to do. We had a wonderful Christmas and 1st with Grey. We went to the Enchanted Forrest and he got to meet Santa for the 1st time, which was actually a good experience. Christmas Eve Eve, we went to my dad's and Darlene's and ate and opened gifts with them, this was the beginning of the madness, but we had fun. We always open presents at Kenny's parents on Christmas Eve and it took forever this time because there were soooo many!!!! (Not complaining though) Grey, of course, cared more about the boxes and paper than anything else. It was so much fun watching him crawl around from box to box or grab all the bows. He had fun and that's all that matters. Next, it was Christmas morning with mama and da-de. We woke up early and opened gifts from each other while Grey played with all his stuff from Santa. Then, we got ready and headed down to Holly Springs to Kenny's aunt and uncle's house. They got Grey the cutest recliner and rocking horse!! Now for some reason, Grey is scared of animals that make noise, so when Uncle Ron made the rocking horse make noise, he freaked out and was crying. I don't know why he has started doing this, but hopefully he'll grow out of it because we have lots of toys like that. Needless to say, this was one of the BEST Christmas'!!!!

After Christmas, Grey turned the BIG 1!!!!! We just had my dad and Darlene, Kenny's parents and sister Lindsey, and his Uncle Ron and Aunt Brenda over to celebrate. I guess because it was close to bedtime, Grey wanted nothing to do with his cake. We are having his actual birthday party on January 7, because of Christmas and New year's. Grey and his da-de have the same birthday, which I think is pretty darn cool. December 28 is a very special day, but Kenny will never be able to celebrate another birthday again, though!! Hahaha!!!! Will update after his "Sock Monkey" party this Saturday!!!

We also took 1 year pictures with him. Here's a few just to show.

Isn't he just the cutest thing you've EVER seen!!!!!!!!!!!
