A November to Remember

So it's been about 3 weeks since my last post and it seems like Grey has kicked in to overdrive with doing something new almost every day. He is now saying paw-paw (what he will call Kenny's dad), he clearly said thank you!, and he said CHEESE right after Mrs. Donna (Kenny's parents friend) said it on the phone to her grandson in Hot Springs!!! Now I knew I would probably be a little tired following him around making sure he doesn't get in to anything, but Lort have mercy! This child is in to EVERYTHING!!! I'm scared for him to start walking because I know I'll never get a free moment then. He took 2 steps on November 17 and he did it without even thinking about it. He was standing by the back door watching Louie outside and I quietly but loudly (if that's possible) told Kenny to come here fast because I just knewwww he was about to! And he did!! He just took his 2 little steps to the door and laughed at Louie. I didn't want to scare him with the screaming and clapping, but when he finally turned around to come to us, I was let all my excitement loose! And of course he still started crying. but we were sooo happy and thankful that we were both there to see it! He's only taken a few steps here and there, but last night was the 1st time he ever let go and actually thought about walking. He didn't, but still, it's the thought that counts! Haha!!

We also have a dancer now. This child looovveess to dance!!! Of course his favorite is Dora, but any music and he starts dancing up a storm! He'll get those arms moving and he sometimes looks like Elvis because he'll get his hips swaying. It's the cutest thing ever!!!

My little man is growing up though and it makes me sad. We had Thanksgiving at Kenny's parents and he sat and ate with everyone. He ate mashed potatoes, beans, and sweet potatoes. He just loved being able to feed himself and play with it! But our 1st Thanksgiving as a family of 3 was successful and I can't wait for more!

The day after, we started to put our Christmas decorations out. I was worried because I wasn't sure if we should put the tree up because I knew I would constantly be saying NO every time he even came close to it. Surprisingly enough, he's only paid attention to it a few times. I'm excited to see how this Christmas turns out. I know he will be 1 spoiled little boy with his grandparents and great aunt and uncle!!

One more thing! We went to Hot Springs the weekend before Thanksgiving because Garven Gardens does this whole Christmas light in the park thing. These lights were CRAZY!! There were so many and they were gorgeous!!! Grey absolutely LOVED it, so I was really glad we got to go. I love being able to do things like that as a family and especially with Kenny's entire family. Kenny's mom loves that little boy with everything she has and it makes me so happy. It's like she's loving him for her and my mom. I really don't know what I'd do or where me and Kenny would be without his parents. I thank God every day for them.

One more picture. This is just to show that MY child looks nothing like me!!! He is the spitting image of his daddy!!! And I guess that's ok..............

Superman!!!!

I can not believe my child is 10 months! It's true what people say, time flies after you have kids. Every month I take a picture on the day, sometimes day after, with a sign I made telling how old he is. Now, this was very easy at first because he would be still. Ummmm not so much anymore!!! Next child I'm definitely getting those iron on's for the onesies with the months on them. I swear this child will not be still! It's hilarious watching me and Kenny trying to get him to be still, look at us, and not rip the sign at the same time! Needless to say, most of his older pictures are him in the jumper. This 8 month old picture is definitely one of my favs!! Hahaha

So Halloween has come and gone and my poor lil boo boo didn't even get to go trick-or-treating! He had a bad cold, so I didn't want to get him out in the weather and make it worse. We still dressed him up though and took him to the nursing home where Kenny's mom volunteers. They were gushing over him and he was loving it!!! After, we went to their house and ate(Grey had 2 plate of spaghetti!!!) and helped hand out candy. She had these dancing things (a skeleton and Frankenstein) that danced and sang when you pushed the button. It was the cutest thing ever because Grey was intrigued at first, but then he was a dancing machine once he realized what they were! This is a pic of him in his superman costume. Kenny said if he ever had a son, his 1st costume would be superman.

I went to my friend's house Saturday night, Kevin and Amber. They have a son, Jude, who will be 2 in December. Our other friends Jessica and Travis also came over and brought their son, Ryder, who is almost a year and a half. These are 2 guys that Kenny has grown up with and I love that they all have boys, these little boys just better not act like their daddy's did growing up! Anyways, Kenny couldn't come because he had to play, but I wanted to let Grey play with the boys. Now I thought I had this sweet little angel of a baby, but when I put this child down and he saw the toy closet, let's just say I saw the devil in his eyes that could only see TOYS!!!! He didn't care who or what was in his way, he was crawling over them and taking whatever he wanted! It's was hilarious! Grey is the youngest, but he sure acted like a little bully! Jude had this little riding thing and Grey held on to the back of it and refused to let go!!! He was just pulling Grey around on the floor. I can already tell these boys will be trouble when they get around each other. I tried to take some pictures of them, but of course never got any good ones. The ones I did get only show the back of Grey because he was in the toy closet!

Until next time!!!!!
