A November to Remember

So it's been about 3 weeks since my last post and it seems like Grey has kicked in to overdrive with doing something new almost every day. He is now saying paw-paw (what he will call Kenny's dad), he clearly said thank you!, and he said CHEESE right after Mrs. Donna (Kenny's parents friend) said it on the phone to her grandson in Hot Springs!!! Now I knew I would probably be a little tired following him around making sure he doesn't get in to anything, but Lort have mercy! This child is in to EVERYTHING!!! I'm scared for him to start walking because I know I'll never get a free moment then. He took 2 steps on November 17 and he did it without even thinking about it. He was standing by the back door watching Louie outside and I quietly but loudly (if that's possible) told Kenny to come here fast because I just knewwww he was about to! And he did!! He just took his 2 little steps to the door and laughed at Louie. I didn't want to scare him with the screaming and clapping, but when he finally turned around to come to us, I was let all my excitement loose! And of course he still started crying. but we were sooo happy and thankful that we were both there to see it! He's only taken a few steps here and there, but last night was the 1st time he ever let go and actually thought about walking. He didn't, but still, it's the thought that counts! Haha!!

We also have a dancer now. This child looovveess to dance!!! Of course his favorite is Dora, but any music and he starts dancing up a storm! He'll get those arms moving and he sometimes looks like Elvis because he'll get his hips swaying. It's the cutest thing ever!!!

My little man is growing up though and it makes me sad. We had Thanksgiving at Kenny's parents and he sat and ate with everyone. He ate mashed potatoes, beans, and sweet potatoes. He just loved being able to feed himself and play with it! But our 1st Thanksgiving as a family of 3 was successful and I can't wait for more!

The day after, we started to put our Christmas decorations out. I was worried because I wasn't sure if we should put the tree up because I knew I would constantly be saying NO every time he even came close to it. Surprisingly enough, he's only paid attention to it a few times. I'm excited to see how this Christmas turns out. I know he will be 1 spoiled little boy with his grandparents and great aunt and uncle!!

One more thing! We went to Hot Springs the weekend before Thanksgiving because Garven Gardens does this whole Christmas light in the park thing. These lights were CRAZY!! There were so many and they were gorgeous!!! Grey absolutely LOVED it, so I was really glad we got to go. I love being able to do things like that as a family and especially with Kenny's entire family. Kenny's mom loves that little boy with everything she has and it makes me so happy. It's like she's loving him for her and my mom. I really don't know what I'd do or where me and Kenny would be without his parents. I thank God every day for them.

One more picture. This is just to show that MY child looks nothing like me!!! He is the spitting image of his daddy!!! And I guess that's ok..............

Superman!!!!

I can not believe my child is 10 months! It's true what people say, time flies after you have kids. Every month I take a picture on the day, sometimes day after, with a sign I made telling how old he is. Now, this was very easy at first because he would be still. Ummmm not so much anymore!!! Next child I'm definitely getting those iron on's for the onesies with the months on them. I swear this child will not be still! It's hilarious watching me and Kenny trying to get him to be still, look at us, and not rip the sign at the same time! Needless to say, most of his older pictures are him in the jumper. This 8 month old picture is definitely one of my favs!! Hahaha

So Halloween has come and gone and my poor lil boo boo didn't even get to go trick-or-treating! He had a bad cold, so I didn't want to get him out in the weather and make it worse. We still dressed him up though and took him to the nursing home where Kenny's mom volunteers. They were gushing over him and he was loving it!!! After, we went to their house and ate(Grey had 2 plate of spaghetti!!!) and helped hand out candy. She had these dancing things (a skeleton and Frankenstein) that danced and sang when you pushed the button. It was the cutest thing ever because Grey was intrigued at first, but then he was a dancing machine once he realized what they were! This is a pic of him in his superman costume. Kenny said if he ever had a son, his 1st costume would be superman.

I went to my friend's house Saturday night, Kevin and Amber. They have a son, Jude, who will be 2 in December. Our other friends Jessica and Travis also came over and brought their son, Ryder, who is almost a year and a half. These are 2 guys that Kenny has grown up with and I love that they all have boys, these little boys just better not act like their daddy's did growing up! Anyways, Kenny couldn't come because he had to play, but I wanted to let Grey play with the boys. Now I thought I had this sweet little angel of a baby, but when I put this child down and he saw the toy closet, let's just say I saw the devil in his eyes that could only see TOYS!!!! He didn't care who or what was in his way, he was crawling over them and taking whatever he wanted! It's was hilarious! Grey is the youngest, but he sure acted like a little bully! Jude had this little riding thing and Grey held on to the back of it and refused to let go!!! He was just pulling Grey around on the floor. I can already tell these boys will be trouble when they get around each other. I tried to take some pictures of them, but of course never got any good ones. The ones I did get only show the back of Grey because he was in the toy closet!

Until next time!!!!!

It's Fall Ya'll!!!

It's officially that time of year, although it's 80 degrees as I type this. Here in MS, it'll be 80 one week and 50 the next! Anyways, we took Grey to Zoo Boo on Saturday and I'd have to say, it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I think Grey needs to be a little older for him to enjoy it, of course. It started at 6:30 and his bed time is at 7:30. Needless to say, we had a very fussy baby on the ride home and he didn't sleep well at all that night! No more messing his schedule up. I use to be one of "those" people who never understood why parents HADDD to stick to a schedule, now I completely understand. I had a good time with the family though and Kenny wasn't playing, so he got to go. Grey was a giraffe and I must say, the cutest giraffe I've ever seen :)

I'm just excited to finally be able to enjoy these holidays coming up. Halloween isn't fun unless you have kids because I'm over going out and no one wants a 30 year old woman knocking on their door begging for candy. So now I have an excuse! I can't WAIT for Christmas this year!!!!! Even though he's not going to understand what's going on and would probably rather have a box and a spoon, I'm beyond excited.

Grey will be 10 months old this Friday and I just can't believe how much time has flown by! It makes me sad to think that this time last year I was pregnant and now he's almost 1!!! He has 2 teeth and by the way he's teething, I know more are on the way. I almost cried when he got his 1st tooth because he didn't have his "baby" mouth anymore. I find all this crazy because if you asked me 2 years ago if I thought I'd be a mom, I'd laugh at you and tell you there's NOOO way because I'm the laziest person in America! I'm still lazy sometimes, but now I'm like "What the heck did I do with my  time before him!?"

I've already done 2 5k's with Grey and no I didn't run them, just walked :) Although I want to start running, at least do some sort of exercise besides picking up a 20 pound baby! I did The Pumpkin Run with Kenny's mom and sister at the beginning of this month that benefited LeBonheur. He did great and loved looking around at all the scenery. This child LOVES looking out the window in the car! He's gonna flip when we can turn his car seat around ! It'll be like a whole new world! Anyways, I want to get a jogging stroller so I can start running and have him with me, but Kenny said no because he thinks I'll never do it. He's knows me too well :)

One last thing, Kenny sent me some pictures from his phone the other day, one's that I don't remember ever seeing. I wanted to share one that is my favorite. It was right after I had Grey, almost like the 1st time we actually saw each other. It looks like he was saying "So you're my mom!" Kenny was able to capture this special moment........

Almost Walking!!??

Well, this is officially my first blog ever! I'm only doing this because Jessica Russell convinced me it would be good for Grey to have something to look back on. I'm not great at writing and I tend to ramble, A LOT!!! But I always enjoy reading other people's blogs, so hopefully SOMEONE will enjoy this??!! And if not, well it's for Grey anyways. :)

Grey is now 9 months old, almost 10. He's crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything, he's been doing it now for about 2 months. The other day he started letting go of things and standing on his own and now he's walking behind his little train! Of course he thinks it's the funniest thing ever, which it kind of is, because he goes soooo fast! I'm one scared mama though, he always bangs his head enough just crawling. I swear he looks like the poster child for child abuse sometimes. If I think I'm busy now trying to keep up with him, I can only imagine what it'll be like when he's walking!!!! I'm giving him a month and he'll be walking.

I took him to the pumpkin patch last week with his cousins.I love watching him experience new things! He was crawling all over the pumpkins and trying to eat them, of course, because everything goes in his mouth right now. This will be his 1st Halloween and I'm so excited! We are taking him to the pumpkin patch at the zoo this weekend, but I'm still not sure what we will do for Halloween night. I'm sure we'll go trick or treating just for a little bit, mama needs some candy!!!

We had our 1st play date this past Sunday at Amy Thomas'. She has twin boys just 2 weeks older than Grey. He is in his "all I want is Mommy" mode right now, so when he gets around people he's not use to, he clings to me. This lasted all of 30 seconds because he saw them playing with all these toys and he said see ya mom! It was so cute because he was almost having a conversation with Taden. One would babble and as soon as he quit, the other one would holler. They were just talking and laughing! It was hilarious! I love watching him interact with other babies because he loves kids so much!

This little boy has brought so much joy to my life, I don't know what I did before him! He's perfect and my only wish would be that my mom and brother were here to see him. I know she would just eat him up! He absolutely adores Kenny's parents though and they love him to death! He will definitely spend a lot of time wanting to go hang out with PawPaw and Gma (no name for her yet).
